- My name is Lisa. I'm a mom, teacher, and writer. I have a dream of opening a writing studio and bookstore for kids and teens. I've been doing my research and I'm working on a two year plan. Believe it or not, independent bookstores are making a comeback. Children's book sales are up, and the supplemental education industry is a trillion dollar pie. I've crunched the numbers, and they tell me with hard work, creativity, great customer service, and off the charts marketing, I can be a phenomenal success. I believe in my dream, but here comes the hard part: start-up capital. My goal is to raise 35% of my start-up capital over the next two years through creative thinking. My creativity begins here.
